Hi, I'm new... I would be all about a sew along.

How does it work?  Do we decide on a project then go with it?

I am making my 9 year old some reconstructed skirts with tons of fabrics she's picked out over the years and scraps.  Right now we are using Asian brocades.  I made a top out of the cut off legs too.

I need to figure out how to post pics.

Craftinmyassoff, your kid is freaking adorable!

hi! welcome!
we basicly just sew along.
Sometimes you can choose one type of clothing and everyone makes their version, this time we're just sewing kids/baby clothing, each has a different need, like craftin wants to make (and already did) something for her girl, i want to make some summer clothes for my son and a dress for a friend's girl, etc. We're just here sewing along to encourage one another.

Here is a skirt for DD for back to school.  Its on an adult hanger so it looks kindof funny, but you will have to use your imagination to see it hanging properly!  Matching pink hoodie is being made, I just drafted the pattern this morning.

What do you all think?
