Topic: My first Quilt (all done by hand) -- Lots of Blue & White Squares  (Read 1353 times)

So, this is pretty much the first thing that I've ever attempted to sew.  I made it for my fiancé's mom's wedding last weekend (she loved it - Yay!) and it took me about 5 months to make.  I did everything completely by hand, so it's definitely NOT perfect, but I'm still pretty happy with it.  It's really simple - just two cotton fabrics on the front (50 squares of each), the white one quilted with 4 hearts in a circle and the blue one just with a square around the edges.  The back is some random blanket-y fabric that I found that has blues and whites and yellows in it and it SO soft.

You did it all by hand and in 5 months?Huh  Wow, that would have taken me years.   Keep up the great work!
