okay, i call playing cards "trump" ... i think i spent too much time in japan... anyway, i threw this bowl and glazed it myself. this is the only good piece of pottery i've thrown so far. it's in blue and purple, two of my favorite colors! i have allways loved playing cards and tarot cards. for this bowl, i picked playing cards as the theme because the imagery of the suits is simpler than that of tarot.

what are your thoughts on the concept and the final product itself?

Beautiful and chic!  I adore the color choice also.

I honestly like everything about what you did...and not using any white on the project makes the bold colors stand out even more.  It is really nice!

Great job!

thank you! you know, i was going to go with a red and purple or a purple and black scheme, but i ended up not having those glazes available to me... well, i'm super glad that it ended up the way it did! thanks again, original youth, for your feedback!

That's really neat. At first, when you said 'trump bowl', I thought you meant a bowl with Donald Trump's face on it! HAHA. That would be awesome. And for someone with your talent, I'm sure it would be no problem. Love it, hun. <3

yeah, i thought that the title might be taken that way... well, i'm glad you checked it out, no matter why you did! i have considered doing a plate or something with a face on it... maybe a self portrait... oh, and i'm honored to be called "talented;" that's really nice of you!

yes, alice's adventures in wonderland was a very influential book on my childhood and my idea of fantasy. i still can't escape my childhood obsession with the book...
