Like the baby bag I made, I wanted a stenciled look without the stenciling (didn't have the space and materials for a stencil, but I had transfer sheets and a printer!).  I ironed the transfer onto a patch that I sewed onto a pillow I made out of scrap corduroy fabric.

That's great!  You really succeeded in getting that stenciled look.  That image would make a very nice negative for screenprinting.

i love the way the black stands out against the lighter colors.  did you make the image from a picture of your cat?  very nice pose, like the cat is looking out of the pillow at you.

Thanks!  Yes, I used a photo.  Miss Tucker is my friend's cat, and I stayed at their apartment for a few days.  Miss Tucker's momma won't let me give her thank-you gifts for staying with them, so I decided to send Miss Tucker a gift instead.  She's very photogenic and did quite a bit of posing for the camera.  Miss Tucker has the pillow on her couch.

Yep.  It's really that simple.  Even easier than doing a stencil.
