Feeling the need to crochet...

View Profile WWW available for personal swaps
« on: July 21, 2006 02:58:09 AM »

I've done a lot of searches in a number of places and I just cannot seem to find one anywhere.

I'm looking for patterns for unusual animals like: hedgehogs, porcupines, armadillos, skunks. Or anything that's not your "everyday" animal really.

If anyone could help me that would be brilliant, thanks.

At www.sarahanns.com/crochetworks/animals.html you'll be able to find patterns for a porcupine, chipmunk, skunk and  racoon (among others). They all use the same basic body design and are very easy. I've made the porcupine and love it! However, attaching the spines was rather time-consuming, and my family thinks it looks like a hedgehog.
I've also made the lamb from the Better Homes and Gardens website and many people think that it looks like a hedgehog (because of how its wool is crocheted).

(sorry that I don't know how to make the links 'work')

I'm not sure what exact animal patterns she has, but she has a wide variety of links to a bunch of different animals. Good luck! Smiley
