i am obessed with having no stash.  i constantly go thru and use oddballs but other people think im nuts.   am i the only one?  i'd rather use them while they are 'fresh' and not dried out, plus then i can always buy more  Smiley

Ha ha...I'll bet you're in the minority!  I wish I had no stash, I'd have soooo much more space in my tiny studio apartment...I'm a compulsive knitter with the odds n ends too but I'm always adding to my stash so it never really goes away!

I'm a minimalist, so I crave having no stash - and am currently really sticking to my plan of not buying any new yarn until I use up the old!  so oneday soon I hope to be where you are...

hello, my name is pearl and i'm a stachoholic.

*hi pearl, welcome*

i have two large bins filled with balls of yarn. i try to find small things to make with all my small balls of yarn. arm warmers, wrist warmers, face cloths. i also use the small yarn to embroider words on sweaters or stuff.

*gasp* No Stash??? What IS a Craftster without her stash? The very notion horrifies me. *giggles*

i have a moderately sized stash, which will soon grow to mammoth proportions, i'm afraid. i went out & did the unthinkable, i ordered some phildar from the netherlands  Shocked
and i'm about to hit elann and do some browsing
plus i'm waiting for confirmation from threadbear on my kfi clearance order!

i need to do a stash-off, just in the get-rid-of-stuff-that-im-really-*not*-going-to-use way
i've been meaning to clear out my bins for a while now; perhaps i'll start today...

we should post pictures of our stashes, so people like me can get motivated to clear it out & so other people can feel better about the size of their own stashes!

A few months ago I was at my favorite (read: cheap) thrift store and there was this HUGE crate of sewing notions and the guy sold the entire crate to me for $50. Buttons, zippers, bias tape, needles, elastic, etc. I will NEVER have to buy a zipper again, I swear. It was a great find- but just added to the beast that is my stash.

I wish I could say no to stash. I have too many ideas, not enough time, and way too many supplies!!

I started out with a couple skeins of old crafty yarn, then I would only buy yarn per project, now I have a bin.  I'm really trying to keep it contained to the one bin, but it's getting tough.  I love buying the goofy balls on clearance at my LYS, thinking *someday* I'll know what to do with them... or, I'll buy yarn for a project, like a scarf, then get tired of making scarves, so it just kind of hangs out until I'm ready for it.

I envy your willpower! Smiley
