Recap of Austin Craftster Book Signing!

I just had the first official book signing on my tour in Austin last night. It was SO FUN! Everyone who came made me feel so welcome and everyone was so fun to hang out with. A owe a huge thank you to the ladies from The Workshop in Austin for hosting and being so darn awesome!

Then we did a quick little swap between those of us who brought swap prezzies. I got an awesome purse, magnets, and a bookmark from regansbox. She also later gave me the most awesome poster EVER which I'll post a picture of later.



The "most hysterical swap item award" goes to the person who made the crafty wonder woman accessory set!! Lisa from The Workshop was the recipient and here she is modeling this fabulous ensemble!!


Here are some pics of craftsters working some magic with the supplies I brought like totebags, coin purses, iron-ons, fabric paint, etc.






And luckily crafters being the super smart DIYers that they are, people were able to get the hang of the badge-a-minit to make some buttons and pocket mirrors. Don't they look proud?!



And here's just a lil' taste of what I saw Austin. I don't really like taking photos when I'm somewhere I've never been because I find myself focusing more on taking pictures than enjoying my surroundings.

On the advice of of LeAnne at The Workshop, I stayed at the Austin Motel which I *totally* recommend! It has so much character and it's really affordable. Here's a picture of my room. Each room is painted in a totally different theme.

A friend of mine and I kind of want to go to the San Fran one.. or the Oakland one. but I'm kind of scared to attend =P (I'm only 14.. &a lot of craftsters are older than that.. hehehehe)

Hooray for craf-tay fun in Austin! It was such a fun event. Leah, thanks for such a fun evening and for supplying so many fun crafty bits with which we could get our craft on. Good times! And The Work*Shop totally rocks. Some friends and I are already trying to plan a crafting happy hour there soon.

I made the "Craftster Woman" gift set, and I cannot tell you how completely stoked I was that Lisa got it and was so excited about it! It was crucial that whomever got that gift, GOT that gift. She did. So cool.

Oooo, how exciting that the tour started in Austin, such a great place for it! As a native Austinite and super Craftster nerd, I hope you really enjoyed your stay! I'm just dissapointed I couldn't be there...
