I can't believe I made a BAG! you guys probably think it looks like a granny bag, but I LOVE it with the floral patterns and all... if you look at the pic with the interior of the bag you can see that the pocket is WAY too high, lol, big mistake.... on the exterior I cut and ironed on a vintage hankerchief floral design. it took me about 3 hours to make this.
what do you guys think?  Undecided

it looks like your fifth bag or something, not your first. You did a great job. That tutorial is great isn't it... helped me out a great deal as well. Wink

That is an awesome first attempt, my only suggestion would be to iron and topstitch the top of the bag, it would give it an even more professional feel. It would be especially cute if you used a decorative stitch of some sort!  Also, where did you get the rose design! it is lovely!

oh thank you guys for the nice comments and tips! Smiley

and for cassiemarie, I cut out the rose design from a vintage hankerchief that I had. i loved the roses on it i had to use it some way.

Wow, how cool is this? I really love your bag, it's lovely. Unfortunately I don't have any practice in sewing, so I probably can't do one by my own.  Sad VaintyRose, did you do the design by yourself or did you see it somwhere? It's a wonderful first bag.
