I am not obsessed with Perty Thangs, I am disciplined...

I have alot to share, all you gotta do is ask.

Crochet, x-stitch, Ribbon embroidery, plastic canvas, beadwork, polymer clay, wire work, and now TATTING!!  Please help me learn to knit, then I might be complete.

I like the simplicity of this. Little ones would make nice earrings too.

Hi, and welcome,

btw..whts fimo?? some kinda clay?

Fimo is one brand of "polymer" clay... actually Fimo comes in 2 lines which are different:
FimoClassic and FimoSoft.

Polymer clays are basically plastic clays which must be cured at about 275 degrees (265 for the Fimos) for about 15 minutes per quarter inch of thickness to harden... they never "dry."
They are quite different in many ways from earth clays (ceramics), all kinds of "air-dry" clays, "modeling" clays for kids and animators, epoxy clays, etc.

On these two new boards here at Craftster, we talk about polymer clay (any brand) and all the fun things one can do with it --many of which can't be done with the other types of clay (if you're interested in seeing a list of some of those things, look on this page:
http://www.glassattic.com/polymer/info_letter.htm
....look under "What All Can Be Done with Polymer Clay?"...)

I notice you're in Kuwait so you may not be able to get certain brands there.  If you want to check out more info about polymer clay though and what might be available there, there's a small group of polymer clayers in your area you might want to contact:

Arabian Desert Polymer Clay Guild
..."For now, we have 5 members, including Evalie (EVLOCK) and myself. Hopefully, we'll grow quickly. Our first scheduled meeting will be in September, 2002. Sally Haskell <sb_haskell@yahoo.com> "
