I enjoy posts with lots of little crap-projects crammed all into one, so that's how I'm going to do it today.
First off, a family portrait:

From the bottom left, going clockwise, there is a traditional, coiled shell Nautie (misc. acrylic yarn), a coily hermit crab-ish Nautie (various acrylics), a Kate turned into a parrot (misc. doubled worsted acrylics and funfur), and a felted owl-ly Kate (Bernat Lana, some bargain bin fluffycrap Wal-Mart yarn, and more various acrylics).

I finished this fellow today. I could type up the pattern for the bat wings if anybody's interested.

Aww. Sleepybat.

He's made from assorted acrylics (held triple on the body and doubled on everything else). I know he's sort of gimpy, but I really enjoy him.

Also, he makes for a handy, impromptu Bat Signal if you ever need one.

Why am I using so much Acrylic, you ask? Because my grandma gave me this huge effing box of yarn (that she bought for $2 at a garage sale) as a graduation present and I want to use most of it up before I buy new yarn.

Any way, comments, questions, advice, rotten foodstuffs, etc. are always very welcome.

I like that owl-ly Kate, but those bat wings are FABulous.

Aw! I love the bat. I've been knitting a lot of acrylic things lately too for the exact same reason. Haha. Great job!

Love the bat too (actually the whole family is cute).  Is the body Kate modified?  Would love a pattern for the wings.  I have demented children in my life who would absolutely love one of these.  Very cool.
