FIRST POST!!  There will be more pics on the way, but I LOVE THIS COFFEE TABLE.  I have these candle holders and matching glass ball sculpture that I wanted a nice coffee table to display on.  Not finding anything I liked, someone gave me this old coffee table I decided to redo.  First, I stripped the yucky old honey colored, scratched up and filmy stain with, of all things, oven cleaner.  Sanded down parts but left a little of the old and then stained it with a walnut stain (the parts I left from the original look AMAZING now with the walnut stain, very antique looking).  Now the fun part.  The top was warped leather, so I sprayed with with a spray on primer.  Originally, I was just going to glue on the glass kinda half marble pieces I got at wal-mart, but didn't like the way the leather showed threw, so I sprayed it with a white primer.  Then I thought hmmm, where am I going to put my cup of coffee on this uneven surface.  BRAINSTORM, I'll go get a few tiles for like 30 cents each.  So, I painstakingly glued the glass and tiles, which is shown in the pictures.  Then I got a sanded "Delorian Grey" grout and smeared that on.  Then, and this took forever!, I cleaned each little glass marble like thingies (technical term) going by the time on the grout instructions.  I just finished the last coat of stain and I LOVE IT!  My camera is broken, otherwise you would have more pictures:
