I knit this quite a while ago, about a year actually. It was a rabbit face chart, but I shortened the ears to make it a cat and sewed on pink beads for whiskers. The picture is kind of bad, so it's hard to tell but the kitty is a light pink.

I'd be interested to know how many of you have made this backpack and if you modified it, how so!

I guess you could say that I'm in the process of modifying it... I'm using aspects of the pattern to make a stripy scarf. It's actually knitting up quite nicely, so hopefully, when I'm done, I'll have lots of pictures for you all!

ur backpack is awesome! im making the monkey version. i have the front n half the back done, but i just cant sit down n finish it...  Undecided o well... ill finish it one day. lol.

I like your version.  That looks really nice.

I knit the backpack with a variegated yarn, but I didn't do the intarsia because I'm too chicken.  I haven't gotten around to putting the backpack together and lining it yet.  I don't have a zipper, so I'm using that as my excuse for not finishing it!
