sock monkeys, my new favorite pastime.

ah, sock monkeys. easy to make, and too freakin' cute. here are two that i've made recently:

this first one scares my cat; i can't figure out why. everytime he sees it he freezes and then runs from the room. it's a nice ally to have around when i'm trying to eat cereal and the cat is hoping for his share.

and here is one i made for my sister's birthday, the socks were kind of weird, and it's a much smaller monkey. i must say that i love the toe-hair, hee hee:
