This is my first traumatic attempt at working with waste canvas.... I've since learned that there are much better ways of stabilizing stretchy fabric for embroidery, but oh well.  This was done for a friend - she had a stamp that she really liked the design of - so I stamped it and
scanned it and blew it up, and then traced it on the waste canvas.  here she is::

The stitches are kind of awkward and zig-zaggy because of the waste canvas (never using it again)

and on:

ta-dah!

It's really cute -- I love how the colors pop on the black background!

I think it looks really cool Smiley

Waste canvas is usually best for cross-stitching really, I've had good results with it that way  Wink

I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I would SO wear that shirt with pride! This is kind of off-topic, but the other night I had a dream my hubby & I drove past a field of unicorns with rainbow colored manes, and I freaked and yelled for him to stop & he told me "Those aren't unicorns, Lisa...those are hornses!!" I called him a jerk in the morning.  Cheesy

hehe!  getting mad at people about dreams they were in... I love it.
thanks for the nice comments all!   Grin   I will definitely leave waste canvas for the cross-stitchers... When I bought it, the person at the craft store who helped me had NO idea what I was looking for, and neither did I.  *sigh*
thanks for looking!
