I've been busy spinning some new yarns and fighting over the wheel with my 13yo daughter who is also completely addicted to spinning.  Some of my newest yarns..

I call this one "Mowing the Lawn" It has grass green, sky blue & sunshine yellow as the colors - Plus a little firestar for sparkle.  It measures 194 yards.

Next yarn is called "Hodge Podge" and it combines just about any color you can imagine carded together & spun, then plied with a multi color eyelash yarn.  This is much cooler looking than the pic shows.

This yarn is called "Slick & Sassy" It is made from a Merino/viscose mixture that gives it a slick look.  It is really light & lofty and measure 194 yards.

I call this yarn "Sea Nymph" - it is my first handyed roving that I spun into the yarn, which I then plied with silver thread.  I LOVE the way the silver thread glitters on this one!

You don't have to get it right the first time, just the last time.

Gorgeous yarns! I'm completely in love with the Sea Nymph yarn - the silver thread is perfect.

So very pretty!!!  So I'm curious.  What is spinning?  Do you just make yer own yarn and do neat things or do you sell it?  How is this spinning done?
