Hey I live in Nason! Which as you probably know is close to mt vernon! I need more crafty friends. Lets be friends! lol

I am going down to SIU everyday and I don't know anyone down there really..So if anyone is around campus let me know!

Also the Yarn Shoppee that is in Herrin is Amazing! I went there for the first time the other day. Only place to get real natural yarn in this area!

I've been meaning to go to that yarn shop in Herrin for a while now.  The couple times I've gone to it have been on Sundays, and I always forget that it's closed that day.  Roll Eyes

Friends, indeed. I don't know where Nason is yet, I'm a transplant from the west coast of FL.

So, yarn shop!? Herrin, eh.... I DO know where that is. YAY! Like, as in, WOOL yarns? I have a thing for wool, in general.

Wow... I went to the Yarn Shoppe in Herrin today and it was so awesome!  The people who work there were so helpful and friendly!  I'm definitely going there again when I have more money to spend on yarn.  They have a large variety of beautiful hand dyed wool yarn.  I wish I could have bought it all.  I did buy some natural colored wool yarn and dyed it with the Kool Aid method... I can't wait for it to dry so I can use it!  I definitely recommend checking the place out.

Hi - I'm in Mt. Vernon! What sort of crafters group do you have in mind?

Howdy all!

I'm a newbie to the board, but I just wanted to pop in and say I'm in St. Jacob....which is near Troy, IL. I am always over in Belleville, Fview Heights, O'Fallon, etc. to shop and whatnot....St. Jacob is a tiny town!

Anyway I am just a beginner for most crafting stuff, but I'd love some type of monthly meetup....I need more crafty friends too! Wink

I keep forgetting this thread because there are not many so il crafters on here.

If anyone is interested I started a knitting club on campus at SIU. It went pretty well over the semester but over the summer is been lacking greatly. If anyone is interested in going let me know because I drive there every Monday night from the mt vernon area and I would pick up any one between mt vernon and carbondale! Its on mondays from 6 to 9

I'm from Marion.  My name's Aimee and I dont do a lot of crafting other than crochet unless it's for swaps or something.  However, I'm glad to meet some people from around the area!
