I'm planning my wedding for 2008 and I'm trying to get organised!! I saw this picture and fell in love with the dress!! It's lush!! I'm going to attempt to make it my self but i haven't been able to find a suitable pattern?? I'm a total beginner at dressmaking so i will probably need the next two years to make it!! If anyone has any tips or advice I would greatly appreciate it!!

I don't know about that exact pattern, but if you can't find it, Vogue has one that is somewhat similar. I am sure that you can alter it to look like this dress. Here is the link:

What a gorgeous dress! You know...the shape reminds me very much of the type of empire gown worn in movies like Sense and Sensibility or Titanic. I bet you could work from that basic style to make this one.

this dress ahs made me start redesigning my homecoming dress in my head  i have no idea about a pattern (me + patterns = disaster) but i'd like to ask you where you found that dress. so if you could, will you please share where you found it?

I've had this picture for a while now, but I think I took it from my boyfriends 'empire' magazine. If I’m right the woman wearing the dress was in a Woody Alan film called Melinda and Melinda I think the article was about that film and this was just the accompanying picture. I’ve no idea who made it though…..sorry I couldn’t be of any more help. xxx
