Not to be mean, Im just offering some constructive critism, but I think that would look a million times better on your wall if you put the frames a little closer together. Right now there is too much empty space between the frames, and it makes it difficult for the eye to follow them and connect them as one piece. But hey, its your pad so do what you want. Im just offering my 2 cents.

I see what you mean, but the point was to have them (roughly) in the correct places they'd be if the whole map were there...Perhaps putting them with some sort of background would alleviate the white space issue...

Great idea, but to make it better I agree with having a background.  Maybe putting up another uncut world map as the base with the geographical side up instead of the political for contrast?  Or a map with a slightly smaller scale so the pieces you fromed look like they're under a magnifying glass.
