You know how you open a brand new sleeping bag and pull it out of that teensy-weensy bag in which they sell it to you and it just expands to three times it's size in 2 seconds?  And then you know how you just can't get it back in the bag after that no matter how hard you try?

Well, that was my roommate's dilemma.  She needed something to transport her sleeping bag on a camping trip and I whipped this up to help her out.  It's made from some bedsheet fabric I found at a thriftstore.

Problem solv-ed!

I may have to make me one of these! I have a sleeping bag that I lost that little bag for years ago for the exact same reason - it never fit back on!

You'd thnk that the manufacturers would catch on or something

That's such a great idea. My sleeping bag has elastic to keep it rolled which I use to carry it, but this would be a much better way to travel with it. Thanks for sharing the idea!

so simple it's brilliant  Grin  i have bookmarked this since i'm sure i'll need to whip up something for my daughter's week long campling trip in a few weeks.  i send her off with everything neatly packed up and labeled.  she comes back with things wadded up in garbage bags.  hopefully this will help with the sleeping bag  Smiley

That's a great idea!:D I hate those stupid bags.. I hate folding stupid sleeping bags... (I CAN fold them to fit, but it's a pain in the rear.)

Haha, I'm a Girl Scout, and it's always been a competition in my troop to see who can get their sleeping bag back in the stuff bag the quickest. It's a pride thing lol

This is super adorable!

WOW! I totally need one of these! My sleeping bag doesn't have a bag for carrying, so this would be perfect!!! Thank you so much for your fantastic idea!
