The Hancock Fabrics in Matteson (near Lincoln Mall) is going out of business! 

For the knitters,  I was in there yesterday and all knitting supplies are 70% off.  I got sz 7 lion brand dpns for $1.86, and size 10's for $2something.  They have almost all sizes in straights, and they have a bunch of lion and no-name circs and bamboo circs too. 

Yarn is 50% off too, though there isn't too much left.  There were single skeins of different colors/weights wool-ease, the 100% wool, lots of Jiffy and boucle, Tiffany, Mystery, etc. 

There were quite a few pattern booklets left too. 

There was tons of fabric left too!  From 50-70% off, plus an additional 10% off if you bought the whole bolt.  There were sewing machines, patterns and mags left too.

Plus a bunch of thread, ribbon, trimming, what looked like hats you could decorate, scissors, etc.

They're also selling their display tables/cases for as low as $15.

How sad! I used to live right down Governor's hwy and shopped there all the time. I wonder if the JoAnn's superstore in Orland Park killed their business.

I know this is really late but I thought it was weird that people live so close to me on here.
Where do you live?
I used to live in Homewood, Chicago Heights, and Country Club Hills but now I moved west to Minooka.
And when I was a kid, Lincoln Mall was the shit, but now it is, well, shit.
I don't even know why that place is open anymore.

hahaha, so true!  But really, the whole South Suburb area is getting really run down and the gangs are moving in.  Very sad

I used to live in South Holland, but now I'm in NW Indiana.  One of my doctors is in Frankfort, that's why I pass through Matteson on occasion.  I miss SH, where I live there are no sidewalks, you can't walk anywhere.
