ok, so i'm drawing a blank with these. Tongue

i picked up these kitschy cool postcards for, like, 20p the other day, but i'm lost as to what to do with them. i just keep thinking 'notebooks, notebooks'... (like: http://www.craftster.org/yabbse/index.php?board=18;action=display;threadid=64...)but i'm not sure...

i want to make them into something useable, y'know? like, i don't want to just frame them or anything. but it seems my inspiration has upped and left.

so if you guys can jump start my brain, i'd be much obliged.  Grin

oh and btw, they have that funky retro 3D effect to them... you can't really tell in the crappy pic  Roll Eyes

cheers!

I think they would be a delightful decoration for any clear vinyl thing - cover with contact paper or whatever and attach to a shower curtain, tote bag, pencil pouch, etc

i think it would be hilarious if you glued them to a box and then put really naughty things in the box--like condoms!!!  wouldn't you just crack up opening such a "holy" box and finding such stuff?! Shocked

how about finding a square glass open topped box, doing a glassine decoupage on it, and using it as a votive holder?

How about laminating them then attatching them to a mobile or something.  Do they have something on the back?  Then you can view both sides.  I have a slew of holy cards...mostly picked up from Catholic funerals I've attended.  I've always kept them stashed in a drawer.  I think it's time for them to be displayed...and no respect for the dead, I might add!!!

Au Naturale! I LOVE LOVE LOVE that place. Not seen those sweet postcards though. My best bargain from there is 5 for a door curtain (a cool plastic black and white circles one) or maybe a huuuuge packet of jelly bracelets for 25p.

Does this Au Naturale place have a website?  It sounds like my dream store.

Could you use them to decorate your computer itself?  I keep my CPU (the actual computer itself) on my desktop so I can easy change disks and cds, and I've been planning to decorate it.  Postcards seem like a good size for that.

I like the notebook idea (you can keep your more sinful magazine articles inside, or your bank statements - has to help, right?).

Or, you could laminate them, super glue a small plastic loop to the front, super glue a suction cup to the back, and have a really funny toothbrush holder.
