Half my craft is done in delaware (my mom helps cut fabric for my books) and I am a former resident, so I will say hey. if only to give delaware a little bit of a boost in members on this forum!

I'm a north-of-the-canal  Wink girl myself, but a lifelong DE resident. My main thing is sewing, but I also do quite a bit of beading and paper (mostly scrapbook) stuff, and I'll attempt more or less any craft that strikes me as interesting.

I live in New Castle County, (Newark right now) I'm mostly a sewer. I'm getting into more fiber arts (knitting, embroidery etc), but really I want to do it all. And play bass. And draw and paint. And still have a 3.5 GPA

Delaware resident all my life! I'm from Wilmington, but currently in Newark (so just a stone's throw away). I mostly sew and am an Apparel Design and Fashion Merchandising major (but I'm definitely still learnin' ). I knit also and do lots of random crafting in a variety of mediums.

I'm in Newark.  You name a craft and I do it, have done it, or wish I had the time to try it. I'd love to try and go to a SnB group, but I don't think I have time.  I ride the bus to UD and knit on the bus.

Heya lady, and all others who still may read this board!

I'm in Lewes, but the boyfriend and I are hopefully moving to the Wilmington area in a little over a month. I've lived here 16 years, but he just moved up here from Tennessee, just for little (well, not little at all!) ol' me Smiley He's a sweetheart. He got a job and Dupont through one of our friends, so that helps too!

I'm 22, unemployed due to medical reasons (and the fact i can't find a desk job down here, I can't stand on my feet for 8 hrs due to weight and dislocated kneecaps). I crochet, knit, sew, cross stitch, embroider (just learning!), paint, draw, origami... a little bit of everything Smiley Many talents and master of none! I've recently also gotten into postcard swapping, ATCs, friendship books, penpalling, and I'm interested in inchies. I also enjoy baking for other people.

Also, a question : good places to buy postcards that aren't so much novelty "Wish you were here" halfnaked people on the beach types? I have a friend in Wyoming that enjoys lighthouses, beach scenes (landscape), historical sites, etc. I haven't been able to find any, and I'm pretty sure the ones on the Boardwalk are the previous type.

In addition, does anyone know anywhere around here (willing to travel anywhere in DE really) that sells 12mm plastic animal eyes in bulk? I've seen bags of 100 eyes w/ washers online for around $12, but I don't have a bank account to order them, and I need at least one pair kind of soon. I'm making my grandfather a amigurumi puppy, and the pattern requires them. I tried crocheting some instead, but the damn dog just looked like a ruh-tard! Maybe I can stitch some out of felt, make it sort of 3d like the plastic ones... but really, would like the real deal.

Anyway, thanks in advance, and hi to all DE craftsters! Smiley

Hi everyone!  I just registered here yesterday and I'm in Milford.  I do anything I can think of with denim and old jeans.  I make purses, upcycle denim clothing, kids stuff, etc. etc. etc....   I'm busy making things for Apple Scrapple in Oct.  but would really like to find one or two more shows to do before then.  Any suggestions would be great, thanks!

Have a great weekend!

Hey all! I'm new to DE, well since July so still getting my feet wet up here! I'm actually attending UDel and live on Campus with my two boys! I love to try all types of crafting, but since the move I haven't had the funds or availability to make anything real fun! Mostly helping with school projects, or making my own school projects. I am in the arts conservation program, so I really don't have a lot of free time anymore, but if I do it has to be hands on and messy! I love messy art! Don't ask why, just a lot more fun!

My next project I am thinking about tackling is Christmas ornaments. We don't have any, all in storage and no access to them, so I was thinking a different project a day or week? I have two boys and they had a blast last year when we made them for presents...so why not?!

I just joined the site.  We live in Milford.  Our 11 year old daughter, Emily, has a gift basket business.  The name of her business is Basket Diva.  She started the business May of this year.  She buys all items, puts together the baskets, etc herself.

We would love to know about all upcoming events around this area.  She will be set up Sat at the North Bowers Fire Hall.

Hi from Pike Creek!

I knit, crochet, sew, and do some light scrapbooking.

There's two great craft stores in the Zingo's shopping center at the intersection of Polly Drummond road and New Linden Hill Road (19711). I DEFINITELY recommend checking these places out! There's a knitting store across from the artisan's bank (same building as Dunkin Donuts) and also a sewer's store! The woman that owns the knitting store is a total dreamboat, and has an INCREDIBLE (and decently priced!!!) selection of yarn. She's got a few couches (for the more sociable knitter) in the middle of the store.

Maybe I'll see some of you New Castle / Newark folks there!

Heather
