Hi everyone! I just finished my Hula Girl tea towel.

I had a hell of a time doing those french knots for her lei (you can tell!), but I figure that they're flowers, so whatever. I'll pretend that the big loops were purposeful. Smiley

She does look great. I love all the colors you used. I can't even figure out how to do a French knot for the life of me so I am impressed. Smiley

I love it.  I did my hula girl with french knots on the lei too.  I did a combo pink and metallic fuchsia.  I will have to post after I sew the rick rack on.

love your hula girl... glad to see that you did one side of the head as hair and the other in the "face color". i did the same but wasn't sure if it looked wonky. looking at yours though... it looks great.

i put it on a pillowcase & gave it to a friend who is hawaiian, and she loved it. she suggested it would be cool if the hula girl had a partner... any ideas as to how i might fudge one of the patterns to make a hula boy?

Hey Eppifani! I was actually thinking about the same thing. Hula Girl looks kinda lonely, no? I was just in B&N and I passed by this clip art book that had a South Pacific theme. I didn't actually look at it, since I was in a major hurry, but I'll go back tomorrow and post in this thread if there's anything helpful!
