I got married last year, a year ago on tuesday, and i designed our wedding invitation....
so as a kinda tribute to being married for a year i thought i'd post it and see what u all thought!
(also included a couple of pics from the day (we had a medieval themed wedding)....i designed my dress, and my friend made it for me...please excuse how awful i look, it was the hottest day in recorded history in the uk, and i'd been wearing that dress for about 7 hours!!!)
PS sorry if the pics are a bit big  Embarrassed

Well our wedding had a theme so i was kinda lucky. I dunno really. You need to feel comfortable in whatever you're wearing....ie: i would never wear something short for my wedding day, but some people would, and my friend just got married, and she wore trousers.
Make LOTS of sketches, look in wedding magazines, and join up to:
www.confetti.co.uk even though your in the states...(you are arent u?) they have lots of tips and stuff.
Good luck!
x
(that was a crap tip really, kinda obvious!!!)

i had a celtic/medeval wedding too. i had bagpipes and the whole nine yards.
for our invites we printed out invites on parchment paper (not as cheesy as it sounds i promise) my dad's a graphical guenius on the computer and he did them. then we rolled them up and did a wax seal with a H stamp. they were cool. the wax seals are awesome and people just freaked out when they got them. they were unusual i guess.

The portraits one there are amazing. You two look so sweet. I think you should get in blown up and hang it in your house, sure it'd make you seem arrogant, but that's really beautiful.
Btw, your dress is gorgeous, your friend did a good job.

Did you do it with color pencil? It'so pretty!!!
