I'm heading out to the beach in a few days and i wanted to make a bag to take  my crochet with me, i cant travel without crochet! I wanted the bag to look like a beach bag, very summery, so here's what i came up with...

as you can see it has a large pocket across the front for trashy beach reading, the newspaper is just holding the spot  Wink There are two skinny pockets on either side of the bag for pens and extra crochet hooks, and there is a slash pocket on the inside for holding scissors.

there are more pictures up on my blog, www.superstitchious .blogspot.com i entered it in the whiplash competition this month!

i really like how you used the rings too, i like quirky little details like that.

the fabric is from a line called sis boom, which is made by free spirit, i just picked it up at a local quilt store. They have a couple of different colors of the same pattern, i think i'm going to go back and get the chocolate brown.

i love the preppy factor of this bag! you did an awesome job.  i bet the pink fabric and a latte/milk chocolate colored brown fabric would be perfect together.  it looks very amy butler-esqe!! Smiley

where did you buy your rings? the ones i used came out of a pack of multi colored rings from walmart. I'd like to buy just white, or wood, but haven't been able to find them.
