I'm on a roll on this board Smiley  Actually the stuff in my room that's home dec-y is what happens to already have piccies residing on my hard drive already.

Working in a craft store can be dangerous for a creative like me....I have WAY too many ideas and WAY too little time and money!  I gotta start selling some stuff to fund my habit.  This project came about cuz I didn't like the lampshade on the lamp I had in my room.  It was a simple blue lamp from K-Mart if I remember right and it was okay but too plain!

Hobby Lobby has self adhesive lampshades (9 different sizes/shapes!) and a few lamp part kits.  Soon after the 4th last year I picked up a really cool wicker basket for 90% off, along with clearanced 4th fabric and then grabbed some by-the-yard ribbon and beaded trim.  Add a lampshade and the basket lamp kit and about an hour and I had a REALLY cool lamp that also doubles as storage!

Now that the bug has bitten me I have the parts for another lamp set aside.  I tried to make a knitted capelet for myself for Easter and it came out WAY too small.  Same size as the lampshade small.  I have it stretched over a lampshade now and I recently used a 40% coupon to get a nice sleek black base but I'm still brainstorming on what else I want to do beyond sticking in a light bulb.

See what working around way too many cool crafts does to your brain and wallet?  Smiley

Wow!  Looks great!

You were saying you were thinking about selling stuff?  You may want to check out www.iwanttomakeit.com.  It's made for people who have projects and are looking for others like yourself who can help them.   Just thought I would let you know.  Keep up the great work!  Grin
