A teammate is having a baby, and I made her a derby onesie for bringing her spawn to the bouts. This is my first embroidery project, and I am so excited at how it turned out! The weird pucker around the edges is the backing I sewed on at the last minute, realizing that babies might not like a bunch of knots rubbing against the chest. Next time I'll know, eh?

Not sure if the closeup photo shows any more detail, but here it is:

Oh that is AWESOME! I love the blended colors!  Your satin stitch is incredible!

I love "Wheels on Fire" it reminds me of that British show "Absolutely Fabulous"....my FAVORITE TV show of all times!

I might have to get this pattern now! I think it is about the only one I don't have.

Hi my name is PinkyK and I'm a sublime stitching addict.  Wink

SWEET!!  It looks amazing for your fiirst project! Plus I think this is the first completed Roller Derby project here in the Sublime Stitching forum.  Great job!

I'm expecting my first baby in October & I would love it if a friend made me something this killer.  So I'm sure your teammate will too!

That looks amazing!!!   The mom-to-be is going to get a zillion compliments when she's strolling around town with that well-dressed baby!

Incredible! Personally I would be afraid of the baby's spit up and end up keeping it!
