anyone see a pattern for a knit or felted hibiscus flower anywhere?  i googled it and found a a pretty bad rendition of a hisbiscus that looked like a circle with some shiney crap in the center. ( my aplogizes to the designer im looking for something more realistic) .  i just dont knwo if its worth trying to design my own.  i want one  to go with surf & turf skirt for my brother's wedding to jazz up the ribbed tank i'll wear, but since i'll knit it in hot pink maybe i should buy a plant...

(gratutious shot of FO!)

Have you tried searching the knitting boards for flowers?  Maybe there's something you can adapt into a hibiscus?

Love your skirt, btw!

I have patterns made by
http://www.pickupsticksonline.com/flowers.html
haven't knitted any up yet but plan on doing so.  They don't have a hibiscus but I bet you could make one out of the tiger lily with a rounder petal and more petals?  good luck on finding a pattern to suit your needs.

I have never seen such a thing!
I even love the packaging of the flowers!
