bottlecap pincushions galore

i made these for a bunch of my sewing friends.
they're tiny...the bottoms are all recycled bottlecaps.

it's really easy, i got the idea off japanese craft books.

cut a circle of fabric and sew 2 gathering lines along the circumference (leave some seam allowance). Gather and fill with stuffing.
Tie a knot at the base to secure the stuffing. Use glue to secure the fabric stuffed portion into the cap.  I like to stuff till very firm (better to stick pins with)
Tie a ribbon around (also use glue to secure this)
Alternatively, you can decorate with lace, etc around the bottlecap.

Another idea is to use walnut shells as the base instead of bottlecaps - I might try that next, I just need to buy the nuts!

ya it may be hard to make one when u have no stuffing or hot glue sticks!!!
