This was inspired by my daughter whose eyes look like little upside down moons when she is tired, and about to fall asleep.
Thanks for looking.

Very sweet. I'm not quite sure if you captured the 'look' of tiredness, but it still works! She actually kind of reminds me of one of my friends, with her round face and her eyes...
and I love the colours! Cheesy

I wasn't trying to capture the look of tiredness. Smiley I was inspired by the shape of my daughters eyes when she is about to fall asleep. Like little moons.

Thanks everyone!

I love it I think its something your daughter will treasure and maybe it will be in your grandkids  room one day .. I think you wold have to  have sweet dreams if thats what you see as your drifting off to sleep at night  . for some reason It reminds me of winkin blinken and nod  do they still tell that story ? how big is it ?

That is so beautiful!  diasporada, I could see that being the type of illustration that would be really popular as a print for children's rooms or as cards or something.  Do you ever do that type of thing or is this just meant to be as a painting?  Either way, beautiful!
