I started wearing these to school and got requests from many of my friends. Once track season rolled around, I took my supplies to a meet and just about my whole team - guys included - were making them.
The bracelets are really easy to make. Just take a paperclip and fold a small elastic hair tie over it. Then stick another rubber band throught the loop it forms and repeat. If you don't understand, check out the small tutorial on pg.2.

**Edit** The other pictures were not working anymore... So the one above is just temporary until I find more, or take more.

So you looped each of hair ties over each other and attached a paperclip at the end to close it, is that right? Cheesy

That's so simple but smart! I should try that sometime, but I don't have many colourful hairties, hehe.

do you think you can get those hair ties from somewhere like the dollar store?

i like the bracelets!  i bet they'd make neat necklaces or funky little belts.

Okay I can attempt a tut- never done one before but it shouldn't be that hard. I'll try and have it up this week.

Yep, my first large pack of them was from a dollar store. I also got some colorful ones from the baby area of WalMart, and one of my friends got some from Meijer. I bought my cool ones about a year ago though and most are used up. I went back to those same stores and many other to try and find more but they don't have any of those large sets anymore  Undecided

And thank you  Smiley I actually have made 2 necklaces... in fact that slightly larger pink one in the upper right corner is one.

These are so cute!  And I just bought 1000 paperclips that I don't know what to do with (they were the wrong kind!  Roll Eyes I wanted to make angels!)

Anyway this is a great idea - Thank you!  Kiss
