Hi! I'm new here posting wise, but I've been checkin theis place out and admiring all the work for awhile now. I just thought I should start posting to show the fabulous ppl who posted up their patterns the stuff I've made from their wonderful posts. so here's a pair of fingerless gloves I made recently from this lovely and superbly simple pattern by girlypirate! I just love pink and black, so I added a stripe to them. =P

Thanks again girlypirate!

I've got to ask for the non-knitters out there, Did you have a pattern to work from? Something in the shape of a hand/Arm?

She actually did give the pattern - the gloves are just rectangles sewn into tubes with thumb holes.  Since knitting is somewhat stretchy it conforms to the whole hand/wrist/arm area.
this would actually be a really good easy first knitting project!

yay knitty gritty!  those are quite cool, and that stack of clothes in your room is very reminiscent of my own.  and ditto to melidomi.  i actually just assigned these to a learning-to-knit friend of mine as her first project.

yahoo! i used a 1x1 ribbing because i dont like how the knit/purl thing curls. and the ribbing makes em stretchy!

i think the yarn was Bernat's denim in the chocolatey brownish color.

haha, i havent even woven in the ends on one of em..

My mom recently made me a pair of those in peach because my office is really cold and typing and mousing makes my hands really cold, but as I discovered, you can't type with mittens on!  They work great for keeping my hands warm while I type.

Wow!  I got totally inspired by those!  I crochetted mine with a J sized hook and Red Heart medium yarn.  I love crochetting while watching TV, so these were the perfert project!  Thanks for the inspiration!  ^_^
