Please Read All Rules Carefully!!

***Please note that I have changed the name of this swap to the "Fabric Square Swap."  I think this will include more people than just those wanting 1.5" squares.  Please still keep your square sizes smaller than 5" so that they can easily be sent in a regular envelope.***

***If you PM me and don't see this page updated (i.e. with send-outs, packages recieved, etc) within 24 hours, please PM me again to remind me.  Thanks!!***

Swap name: Unconditional "Million" 1.5 Inch Square Swap
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: kitty1256
Sign-up date range: July 9-July 31, 2006
Date to send item by: You will have 1 week after you agree to send to someone in which to send out your squares.

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): No

Restricted to people who all live in the same country? NO
If so, which country?

All ages allowed? Or 18+? Alll Ages

Swap Organizer himself/herself meets these conditions:
- Has fully read the Swap Info Guide: YES
- Has successfully completed two swaps as a participant: YES
- Is not organizing more than three swaps right now: YES
- Will recruit a co-organizer or give all details to a Swap Moderator if this swap has more than 25 participants: YES

Swap Organizer will check each participant to make sure they meet these conditions:
- Has been a member for at least one month: YES
- Has posted at least 15 times: YES
- Has completed at least one swap successfully before signing up for more: YES
- Is not currently signed up for more than five swaps: YES
- Does not have any negative feedback: YES

SWAP DETAILS

-- Each person interested will post a list of maximum FIVE amount of squares that they would like to recieve, as well as what size they would like the squares to be.  Please post the size even if you want the 1.5" squares (which is the default for this swap.)

-- Please keep square sizes small (under 5").  The blocks are for crazy quilts!!

-- Please also post any other information that might be helpful to those who choose to send squares to you (Color preferences, style, 100% cotten, etc).

-- Those coming along this thread will scroll and read all sign ups, and decide if they want to send squares to someone. Those who sign up as well are free to craft for another.

-- The catch to this is you cannot expect anything in return for your efforts except a thank you. That is why it's called an unconditional swap. You can hope that someone else or maybe that same person would want to send you squares as well and then craft for you. And knowing the great craftsters here, I'm sure everyone will receive something.

-- Each person can be picked 3 TIMES! This means that only 3 people can send to someone. Within those 5 people, the person may receive all 5 amounts of squares. I.e. "A", "B", and "C" are sending to "X". A chooses to send 2 amounts  of squares off the list, "B" chooses to send 1 amount of squares, and "C" chooses to send 2 amount of squares. Therefore fulfilling all 5 wishes of "X".

--Now, it is not necessary to fulfill all three 5 wishes..."A" could send just one item and "B" could choose to send one item and "C" could send one item, thereby fulfilling three wishes on "X's" wish list.

-- When you post your wish list be sure to mention the country you are in on that post. Please see example post below.

-- Once you have been picked three times your name will be crossed out in red on the list. You can be on the list again the next month.

-- The crossed out names can be back on the list the next month

-- As soon as anyone picks a partner, you have to ship them their stuff within 1 week.

I would appreciate if you could PM me with the DC number or scan the receipt. And - Please DO NOT write your original post in any other color but black. This will make it easier to sort through.

-- All in all this is sort of a good karma swap. Give unconditionally is your motto my fellow craftsters.

-- All regular swap rules do apply for this. All of you who sign up will be screened to see if you are eligible to join the swap, including Newbies.

-- Positive and Negative feedback will be given for this swap. Your feedback will reflect the number of people you send to that month.

-- When you PM me your wish choices, please include their craftster name, wish # and wish.

-- Please DO NOT post your lists until AFTER I've told you you're in.

-- When you have been picked PLEASE crossout and change the colour of your post accordingly (green for one wish, blue for two wishes, and red for three-five wishes fulfilled). If you need help with that, feel free to PM me.

Example Post:

Hi!  My name is Susie, from Australia.  I want to make a crazy quilt with any/all colors.  Thanks in advance for sending to me!!

I am from Wisconsin USA I would like any normal washable fabric. (100% cotton, blends, corduroy, flannel, etc...nothing delicate or fine washable) any colors are fine. I would also prefer few repeats. (I'm trying to make VERY scrappy quilts)

Hi, I'm Jessica from Alabama, USA. Pretty much any fabrics are good with me, as long as they're machine washable and not stretchy. Here's my list:
20 4.5" squares
20 2.5" squares
40 4.5" squares
20 2.5" squares
36 2.5" squares

I don't really mind if a few of the fabrics are repeats.

Hi, my name is Sarah, and I'm from Seattle, Washington. I want to make a watercolor quilt, so I would love squares from all over the spectrum-- ROYGBIV--(minus gray, black, brown and white). Prints and designs are all great, but I would prefer for each block to have a single main color, or be of related colors. All fabrics, except really stretchy or hard to work with pieces are welcome!

1. 20 squares (3")  Thanks, angelofmusic!
2. 20 squares (3")  Thanks, kiki_eks!
3. 40 squares (3")
4. 40 squares (3")
5. 60 squares (3")

I really don't know what I want to do yet as I am new to quilting, but after seeing Ezri_B's squares in the gallery I had to join. I think I want to do something similar. I will take cottons & flannels. I love all colors and patterns.

As advised, I am just posting to say that I will be sending squares out but I'm not in need of any so I won't be recieving them. Umm, okay. Thanks! Good luck with your quilts!   Smiley

I will be out of state until February. I may be able to check emails periodically so if you need me, it would be more timely to email me. Thanks. ANY OWED SWAP PACKAGES WILL GO OUT BEFORE I LEAVE.
