For Christmas (I know it's early but last year I was late, I have 3 done already) I'm planning on making my friend a plushie of his avi on GaiaOnline. Problem is I've never made one, aside from knitted animals, before and I'm not sure where to start. I guess I'll start with a pic of the avi:

I have felt to do a mock up of it before I invest in something nicer for the final product. Also he has a studded collar under a nitemare collar under the sash, cape, and scarf. I though it would be neat to have them removable to reveal the nitemare collar then have that be removable to reveal the other one. Would that be possible/worth it?

Oh, there's also a chain wallet hiding there. For the chain I figured I'd just use a thin piece of chain from an old necklace of mine.

I'm basically the type of person to once I get a nudge in the right direction can figure it out pretty quick. Are there any good sites that can get me a basic pattern to get me started? Do you guys have any tips/tricks?

Thanks

Well this website http://babylondonstar.com has tutorials on making plushies and details such as eyes and things. (look to the left of her mainpage under the DIY section)She does not take requests anymore and won't help explain. But her directions are very easy to follow and interesting. If they do not help you with what to do they will at least point you in the right direction.
(I'm also on Gaia and I know all the items he is wearing. I am sure you'll be able to make them removeable but they might not look the same. Seeing as how the nightmare scarf as such an unrealistic bend. Maybe add wire so it can be bent into it's odd shape?)

Good luck ^_^.

I figured I'd add wite to his NT scarf, maybe his angelic sash as well. Thanks for the link I'll go check it out now. Who are you on Gaia? I'm ~neko neko kitty~

I'm iampoison. (^_^;)
The site is very useful. I hope it can help you out some. I also thought maybe a bedazzler could help you out with the emo wallet. I think there are four little studs on it.

you mentioned doing a felt mock up I think that would be cool for you to use the pieces as a puzzle. Put a little velcro on each piece then the recieve can put them on however they like! I think doing each piece you described as a puzzle piece would be cool!
