This magazine is fantastic. Everytime my friend Alex comes over we take a few minutes to bask in its hipness.

I got a subscription. I love it for ideas - I'm not sure if I'll stick with it for more than a year. The Vogue-y "shopping" section kinda erks me. Yessss 850 dollars for a pair of ballet flats...what a bargain! (sarcasm sarcasm sarcasm). But I loved the party in a box article and some of the pictures are very inspiring.

I just picked up this magazine (second issue) yesterday as I was checking out at the grocery store... it did have a couple of good articles, like one about turning interesting buttons into cocktail rings.  Still, I wasn't especially impressed.  It's not exactly a craft magazine and not exactly a lifestyle magazine, but instead of being the best of both it just seemed... lacking somehow.  Maybe it will get the kinks ironed out as it goes along.  Probably wouldn't get a subscription.

I signed up for a subscription and I am still waiting for my "free" issue.  Hmmm.

I've been working my way through this magazine (2nd issue) and I have to say that I'm pleased so far.  The cover caught my eye in the check-out line and it was easy to convince myself that I deserved a treat.  It is a miss-mash of things though.  There is a section about using buttons, then there is a section on shoes.  A little crafting, a little fashion, a little lifestyle.  Too my eye there is more crafting in blueprint than in the martha stewart living mags I've seen.

I saw this at my university's bookstore, but I didn't buy it. I was wondering if it was really worth it (plus, I'm already addicted to too many magazines!). It was enough to make me want to flip through it, but it just seems like a more expensive Domino. ( http://www.dominomag.com )

I love it because it has a little bit of everything. Cooking, beauty, fashion, home decor, crafts--you name it. The crafty type ideas are really great too!

haha I caved and signed up for the "free issue" (aka, they sign you up for a subscription). *sigh* I'll end up liking this, too, and my bf will freak about my growing pile of magazines...
