This is definitely the easiest shawl ever!  I found the pattern here > http://crochetme.com/easiest_shawl_ever.html.  Here is my version of the shawl, being modeled by my mom a rocking chair...

It's a little bit longer, probably because I used a different stitch than single crochet.  Also, it is even, but doesn't appear to be in the picture (because of the way my mom was wearing it).  At least it will keep me warm.  Cheesy

It took me a little over 2 skeins of yarn to make the shawl.   Smiley

I made the shawl but it came out smaller then I wanted. Embarrassed  I will post a pic next week when my daughter gets home to model it for me since it will be for her now. I just need to figure out how many stitches I need to make it bigger  I have at least two more to make. My moms friend said she would pay me to make her one but I told her she just has to buy the yarn and I will make it. I think I will tell her 3 skiens to make sure I have enough yarn for it.

Well I am having a hard time getting the shawl wide an long enough starting at the top so I found an easy shawl starting at the bottom. I am going to see how it turns out. I will post a pic of both as soon as I am done.

What stitch did you use?  The pattern says to use single crochet, but I used double (I think).  It made it a pretty good length.

Definitely post the pictures!  I'd love to see them.

I HAD to see the pattern for this one, but they've changed it over time. Here's the new link in case anyone else wants to see it, too. http://crochetme.com/issue_1/easiest_shawl_ever.html

I may have to try this one...

try using a much bigger hook.

i crochet really small, so i almost always need a bigger hook than the pattern calls for.
