A bit nonkonventionell twinset -whit a tute

Scroll down, and youŽll find the new pics...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was desperat, I had nothing to wear this midsummer(Yeas, "every-body" celebrate mid-summer in Sweden). So i made myself this:
A empiretop with loooooong ribbons to lace myself up in.
...and a little tie-shirt with trumpetsleeves, to put over my shoulders when the evening arrived and it got a bit shilly.
Horribel pic,
IŽm sorry. I hope you can get anything out of it anyway.
I made up both pattern the same time as I was sewing. HereŽs how I made the tie-shirt!
I cut out the back, with the middle on turn on dubbel fabric.
Then I used the folded back to made two fronts. I modefied it a bit, and kind of V-shaped the neck. I allso made those "to-knot thingies" in the bottoms. Se next pic...
Then I cut out two triangels for the trumpetshape of the sleeves. And sew the whole thing together. Folded it and decorated it. Voila!

Actually I had that in mind.
But I must take more shots first, after washing it...

Gosh, what a feedback! *stunned and proud and even a bit emberessed*
Hiii, I will defenetly take better and closer pics of the tops.
Olenka, great too see you again! Thanks a lot for the flattering personal words by the way! Staying creative, yeah... Lack of money and wanna have a lot creats creativity!
(but itŽs fun to make stuff too) The set is made out of unbleach cottonjersey, wich costed me less than a dollar (translated from the swedish crown) á 100cm...
Samsara: thatŽs the very reason ties and drawstrings and similar stuff is one of my favourites... Becuase I donŽt have too spend soo much work of having it i perfekt size. It give it by itŽs self.
HereŽs something similar of my top by the way...
http://otsukaya.co.jp/TeduBigF0406.htm
over the chestJust alter the length, make some (whats the english word for it? Help, anyone!)
reducing? Cut in?
and two sprunds over the hips. Then the spot over i: add a long tie (I made it in my own legnth:160 cm...) too the waist and fix it there with a few handsewn stiches... Done.
If you made something like this for your selves, please let me know! IŽm a curious soul and would love to se it...
