I think this is beautiful:) Is there any way you could go more into the bone preparation process? I'd love to make bone beads but haven't the foggiest on how to. TIA!

That is so awesome!  How did you cut the bones.  It looks you sanded them too?

retro-redux: Thank you! What I did was boil them until all the extra gunk came off and then set them out to dry in the hot sun. They turned beach white. Smiley I read somewhere that boiling them is bad though so there's probably a better way.

kd: Thanks! I don't have any special tools so I just used a craft knife. haha. It took awhile but it worked. Correct! lol. I used fine sandpaper to sand down the edges.

I'm hoing to have to make one. Sweet sweet revenge on all those roosters that tried to assert dominance over me in the chickenhouses...all the blood they spilled.

What bone did you use? I'm guessing it was something small, like the wing?

shewolf: yup, I used the wing. I used both the thick bone and the thin bone. I had barbecued chicken wings for lunch that day.  Cheesy

I contribute to the vegetarian-based slapping, but I think it's really cool! The bones look slightly creepy, but in a really cool artistic way. I'd totally wear that!  Smiley
