i received from kiki_eks yesterday.  she sent me two wonderful quilt squares for my craftster quilt -- one of them is made up of tiny squares the size of postage stamps!  Shocked  thanks, kiki_eks!!  Kiss  my craftster quilt is off to a great start  Grin

One of you two have got to post pics of those squares!!  I am a quilter and I love to see quilt blocks!!!

i know, alwaysinmyroom, i am so impressed!!  i don't think i'd ever have the patience for it Smiley  AND i just have to mention that she chose great fabrics and managed to use two of my favorite colors (red and green) *without* making it look like christmas  Cheesy  i will try to post pictures soon so everybody can see what i'm talking about!

and i received another quilt block today from ctgirl!  it's a cute birthday block with an appliqued cupcake (the bottom of the cupcake is corduroy! yay, texture!) and she also sent me a birthday card and an awesome quilting magazine!  here's a pic of everything:

You know catpants.. I was at the unclaimed baggage outlet yesterday - and am kicking myself in the butt - they had 2 quilting books for a buck each - one was on how to make the perfect square every single time - and had templates - it had something to do with paper - that is all I can tell you. The other I don't remember much about.  I carried that perfect quilt blocks book around with me for like 20 minutes and finally put it back thinking yeah, I do want to learn to quilt but come on - really - I barely know how to turn my sewing machine on!

I wil have to keep my eyes open for more quilty things in the future...

I have a box forming - I am now going to start carrying a little notebook with the who is looking for who list!  I don't remember who wanted/likes what!
