Thank you!  Those are ceramic asian patterned plates that I picked up at a Yard Sale.  They were mix-matched and just like devilninny says - I went home and smashed them up.     I also like to use stained glass in my mosaic work.  I made a bunch of little trinket boxes for the Sweatshoppe 3 Swap and I used stained glass on those.  I do use regular grout that can be purchased at your home improvement centers.  You can get it already mixed or you can mix it up yourself.  And you can use any other found objects in mosaics.....makes them different, neat, funky and fun!  Go for it Girl!!
