My monkey is inspired by my love of horror movies.  In 2002 or so, this movie called May came out.  It was by this guy Lucky McKee and it was all about a maladjusted girl who can't seem to make any friends.  As a kid, her mother gave her a doll named Susie and said "if you can't find a friend, make one".  The only trouble was that Suzie lived in a glass case and May couldn't even touch her.  So as an adult, May made some futile attempts at friendship, all leading to disappointment.  I guess she snapped because she decided to take all her favorite parts from the people that shunned her and she made her own friend in the end.  May soon realized that her new buddy, Amy, couldn't see so May cut out her own eye and gave it to her jumbo doll. This is May dressed as Susie going out for her Halloween body part harvesting (hence the big orange cooler) This is my Monkey May (she wasn't in this dress when she cut out her eye but it was close enough so i took my liberties)    Here's a close up of the face like on the cover of the movie

That movie made me cry, and your monkey makes me equally frightened.

May is my favorite movie!

Your monkey is one of the best I've seen so far. Cheesy I love how you did the eye, too.

It's a perfect May. Great job!

I loved this movie, and I love your monkey!  The eyeball is awesome!

Oh, and if you haven't picked up Lucky McKee's "Sick Girl" yet, you should.  Cheesy

Thank god, someone else who understands! I literally curled up in a ball and sobbed when it was over. Damn boyfriends and their "cool" movies.
