Hey all,
I finally broke down and bought a pasta machine! This post serves 2 purposes, one is to tell you all that I got it on sale today, $14.99 at Joanns fabrics.. and also to ask what should my first task be as the proud new owner of a pasta machine??  Cool Ive never used one before. my world is about to explode, i know.

Well, I'd probably wait on Skinner blends till I did some basic stacks and striped canes first .... then maybe some coloring mixing or texture sheet molds or mokume gane or mica effects or crackling or. . .

Well, maybe you should just check out a number of the things a pasta machine will do well from this page, then pick a few that intrigue you the most and do those Grin

(... click on Uses near the top of the page for a summary... for much more info on any of them, there should be directives to other pages at the site --find them in the alphabetical navigation bar)

HTH, and have fun!

i just bought a pasta machine recently, too, but haven't tried anything too crazy with it yet. i use it to mix colors together, because it's much quicker than doing it with my hands. somewhere between mixed and unmixed there is a lovely marble/swirl effect Smiley
