I am really nervous b/c I don't get to see the pattern before buying it.  I don't know if I can do the "tunisian" stitch.  <biting nails>  Anyway, I have paid for the patterns already and am waiting to get them via email.  If you bought the patterns, how long did it take you to get them?  TIA ~twintoo

We've been talking about this very thing over here:

I bought the pattern and I am in the middle of making it. If you can follow a regular crochet pattern you can follow the Tunisian pattern. Don't worry! The download happened FAST. I got them within a half hour. Stitch Diva seems like a cool place and if you are really struggling I bet they will help you. Good luck!

Her patterns are awesome! I bought the ladies brocade jacket to do during the winter months and I don't think that you can go wrong with the price or the support. My sister, swellgirl, also crochetted the pattern that you bought.

Thanks girls!  I did get my patterns and am kind of put off by the prices of the suggested yarns.  I bought the asymmetrical one as well as the mini floral poncho.  I am going to have to search for some yarn that I can afford!!

This pattern was so easy!  I had crocheted in years and never done that stitch, but not a problem with her pattern!

I'm going to look for better yarn for this one and give it another go.  The reason why I hated mine, had nothing to do with the pattern.  When picking the yarn, I'd advise against green.  I looked like I was wear tank camouflage.  Check out elann.com for good prices on the yarn you could use.

I initially bought Berraco's Zen colors for this project, but I never completed (took the yarn back for some Brown Sheep's stuff). I think that the total for the project was about $44 for similar yarn. The suggested yarn is absolutely gorgeous and I almost bought it. I figured that my husband would have had a heart attack if I did, but when I got home he said, "You could have bought it if you wanted to." UGH!

twinto...

I'll let you in on a "secret" place I buy yarn at that has that Colinette yarn you need for the assymetrical poncho at almost half the price.

Enjoy shopping there.  The prices are significantly cheaper, and they have a nice selection too.
