Here is another doily I made. This time it was for my mom. She had been asking for one for quite some time.

It's called "Rosa" and it's from a Leisure Arts publication called Doilies with a Twist by Patricia Kristoffersen.

The center part of the doily is little corkscrews. Cool effect, but it took me FOREVER; it's a lot of crocheting into chains (which i don't like to do). Needless to say, I won't be making anymore doilies out of this book, but I'm glad I made this one. It reminds me of a snowflake. Smiley

Thats very incredible!  Im extreemly impressed.  I've always wanted to make a doily.  Im sure your Mom will love it.  The only problem is, if she is anything like my mom, anything you make from now on, she will insist that it is for her, lol. Roll Eyes

If you buy the book, just be patient. It took me about 3 tries before I finally figured out how to make the corkscrews.

Your doily is gorgeous. Those corkscrews seem like they are worth the effort!
