Hey foxes

You can put the tracklist of your cd here, along with a picture of it if the design was hot stuff.

Thanks, we'll do another again real soon.

I just got my mix from Blue4 today! I'm actually listening to it right now. I love it soooooo much, thanks a ton!!

Here is a picture of the front:

(gotta love ducks with umbrellas!)

and the back:

and the CD:

you can't read it very well thanks to my crappy camera phone, but it has an awsome poem by Emily Dickinson written all over it.

yesterday is history
yesterday is history
'tis so far away
yesterday is poetry
'tis philosophy
yesterday is mystery
where it is today
while we shrewdly speculate
flutter both away

I love that.

And the track list:

Black Sox - Kiss Me Now
unknown - In the Still of the Night (Accapella)
Black Sox - He's too far away
Deee - Groove is in the Heart
unknown - Cry Me a River
Gooser - Broken Heart and a Perfect Ending
Aerosmith - Angel's Eyes
Caviar - Tangerine Speedo
The Rivingtons - Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow
Heart - Barracuda

Big Bad Voodo Daddy - Zoot Suit Riot
Black Sox - Don't Wake Me
Leo Sayer - You Make Me Feel Like Dancing
The Beach Boys - Surfing USA
Boys II Men - Momma
The Vapors - Turning Japanese
Alice in Wonderland's White Rabbit - Closer

This looks like it was a fun swap! Smiley  If you do another one, I'd like to be in.  I wonder if you could come up with a whole mix CD where each title/artist name/lyrics have some sort of reference to art and craftyness (and the songs are still halfway decent).  ... Julie Ruin -- Crochet, Weezer -- The Sweater Song, Beastie Boys -- She's Crafty, Yeah Yeah Yeahs -- Art Star, Hole -- Doll Parts, The Knitters -- Poor Little Critter on the Road, ...   hmmm? Smiley   But I digress ... (sorry ... just thinking outloud)

Hooray! Kendaljay said that she got the CDs that I sent! Here are some pictures & the song lists.

This is the cover. I made it out of an old LP. It's covered in burlap & has a machine sewed tree with two bird stickers on pretty orange fabric.
http://oliveandorange.tripod.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/.pond/mix_cd_1.jpg.w180h180.jpg

This is the back. I ripped the song titles & artist names out of an old book & painted it to match the fabric under the bird stickers. There are aslo 2 little feather stickers in the corner.

Okay I just wanted to add on to Olive+Orange's post. She did such an awesome job with the cd's and the pics don't give it the justice it deserves. On the back of the record she cut out each little individual word and glued it on, it must have taken forever! it was such a unique idea, and the songs are truly great! I love it! Thanks so much!!  Cheesy

Here is my glorious mix from Vonneguttermouth! The pictures don't do the case much justice as the way it was made was the coolest part. It was actually as very slim little wooden box. very classy! Here are the pics!

Thanks so much to Artsy Pantz who put together a great little cd for me, complete with a lovely fabric cover. here's a link to the picture: http://www.38harding.com/qblog/archives/cat_words.html#000394

It's pretty funny because I had planned to put Wonderwall (acoustic from London) on the CD that I made, but had to compromise due to last minute changes in the line up.  It's a very peppy cd for the AM time.  The CD I made for Amanda also has Deathcab & Interpol on it, which seems to show that the Crafster matching system is working. Wink

Wow, so many cool mixes... I'm sad, because my swap partner seems to have be missing in action. I know she got my CD a couple of weeks ago, but I haven't heard anything from her since. So, I'm going to post the front and back cover of the mix I sent her, and just keep my fingers crossed that her mix for me will arrive sometime soon.

The back image was a manipulated photo of some candies, and the front is an even more manipulated fragment of that photo.

Trufflegirl, Great CD.  I LOVE Dar Williams, but have never heard the song "Wilder than Her."  What CD is is off of?

I got a great mix from Mr. Breakfast, it had some songs I knew and an bunch that I never heard.  I love getting new music.  Sorry it took so long for me to take a picture of it, it has been in my car...hee hee.  I took the picture early this morning, so it is kinda blurry.....

Here's the front cover

And the playlist

Thanks again MR. Breakfast!

Hi, Ctgirl --- I'm not honestly sure what album "Wilder than Her" is from! My sister included it on a mix CD that she made for me, and I think she in turn got it from a friend via another mix, so no one really knows. Still, it's a great song. The lyrics are lots of fun:

"She's a house on fire / She's got all those charms / I'm a house on fire too / But I've got four alarms"

"She's a summer storm / But I'm a hurricane / One just blows through town / And one blows the town away"
