I'm attempting to freehand this and although I've had a few a few hiccups, mostly the two (TWO) times I started enthusiastically failing to remember that a fox is not an open ended tube, here's my slow but steady progress:

I'm going to make a detachable fox tail as well so it'll be long enough to function as a stole but not sure exactly how I'll pull that one off.

I can't stop stroking my yarn! Its so delicious. Feels like those really really expensive teddy bears.

The issue with the fox scarf is November 2006.  It has a red sweater featured on the front.

If anyone wants to pass on or sell their November 2006 issue of Crochet! magazine, let me know!  I really want to try that Fox collar/scarf!

Thanks!

Crocheting is like prostitution.  First you do it for love, and then for a few close friends, and then for money.  Maybe that is why they call us Hookers?

I have managed to get hold of some suitable yarn in the "Arctic Fox" colourway.
I shall start now and hope to have it finished and ready to post in a couple of days.
I'm looking forward to it!   Cheesy

Everkutz, if I can find the time, I'll type up the pattern and email it to you if you haven't already gotten it... It's so cute!

Shocked  Wow! AcrophobicPixie! that is so thoughtful of you!  No need to however, as I just received that issue of the magazine today!  Although my subscription started with the Jan issue, I emailed the magazine asking if/how I could get a copy of the Nov. issue and they sent me out the November issue, complimentary!  Yippee!  The fox is SO CUTE!  I can't wait to start it!

I finally finished mine! What a herculean effort though. Didn't make him with the pattern because I haven't got access to it, but I love him.
I posted him over here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=141265.0
