pixie purls, I adore that teal aqua silk! I think using a smaller needle makes for a firmer fabric which is working well with my summer silk. I am about four rows from the arm hole but I will be trying it on. I really want a nice shapely fit.

I am happy to see everyone doing so well.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Stormshade!  Sometimes it helps to just have alittle positive feedback.  I made the order of Madil Eden for this project this morning.  I'll be using a light blue- color 625, and am really excited to join all of you in the knitting.  I think Ill probably need a slightly different needle size, but this yarn should work well.  It's great to see the pics of those who've started.

That looks like a lovely yarn, I'm definitely looking forward to your results, if I like this sweater I want to make a summer one and that bamboo may be the answer.

i got my yarn! it's the first time i browsed at WEBS, and i found a cone of 100% silk...for $26 including shipping...so i am casting on now. the color is a beautiful mustard (hard to tell from the picture)

i will see how it goes. i love the yarns you have all chosen...by the way, what sizes are people making? i can't decide between the small and medium. i am pretty average/small up top...i want it fitted, but not too tight...hmmm.  Huh

More progress! Almost done with the first sleeve.

Size Small. It's a little bit flared on the bottom and oh so slightly loose on me everywhere except my bust  Tongue

That looks beautiful! I think the fit looks fine.  I'm sure blocking will help the drape better too.
I was just thinking about you and wondering about your progress.  Thanks for posting the pic.

That's gorgeous!  And I agree - the fit looks fine to me, and empire lines are very flattering.  Loving the sleeve shape too.
