Here's my version of the "critter" cell phone cozy.

I saw them here first:

So cute!  Meomi crochets hers, but I'm better at knitting. It really is easy and fast, that's the way I like my crafts to be.

Ugh! These are so cute--it hurts! Does anyone have a similar KNIT version of this pattern? I know everyone says crocheting's easier, but I've never tried!

This is how I knitted mine.  Cast on 12 st.  Knit in garter till it is double the length of your phone.  For the ears I knit across 5 st cast off 2 then knit remaining stitches.  Now you have to work one ear at a time. Knit across 5 st, turn, cast off 1 st, knit 3 then cast off last stitch.  Turn and knit even. Next row cast off first and last stitch and you will be left with one stitch. Do the same for the other ear. The arms are i-cords.  Add buttons for eyes and a yarn mouth.  If this doesn't make sense let me know.

Gosh, I would pay for one like creatingme's.  Seriously, I love the pink kitty with the little X mouth.

Thanks, creatingme. I can't wait to leave work to get home to do this! Seems like you could whip these out super fast.
Exciting!

Here's my attempt at the cozy kitty:

The ears were a little off, but the nice thing is that you can complete in such a short amount of time!

Yes Stitch 'n Bitch has instruction for knitting.  But the kitty pattern is not in there but there are alot of other great patterns.  I made up the pattern for the kitty because Meomi is selling them for $25 and I knew I could figure out a way to make them for free.
