I worked in a dining room years ago and they had this soup that was made with macaroni noodles, tomatoes and ground beef.  It was kinda spicy and had a tomato like base.  Those were the only things in it.  I remember they called it Italian soup but when I search that it comes up with something totally different.  I came across a thread on another site where a person was looking for the same thing but didn't find it either.  Any help would be much appreciated.

I think I may have a similar recipe in my files...I will look this weekend and see what I can find. If not, I am sure my mom has it - we've had this kind of soup often as kids - it's pretty good Wink

ETA: My mom called it hamburger soup - here is a link similar to what she made: http://www.cooks.com/rec/doc/0,1648,150177-254192,00.html

I've only eaten there once in Branson, MO and it was sooo good, didn't have the soup though.  I really would like to try olive gardens soup but they're are always people standing outside waiting to get in.  I live in a college town so everything is always packed.  If I ever got in there I would probably have to have everything I've ever wanted from there!!
