I think it looks great! And personally... I love any color BUT black. I wear a LOT of pinks and reds... sometimes blue... and for a darker color I wear brown. But I don't know why... I just have an aversion to black. *shrug* I think that skirt looks awesome though.Cheesy

Awww, shucks, everyone....thanks for the compliments.  I am now going to try and make this skirt out of sweatshirt material I found at a thrift store--put some elastic in the waistband.  I will post pics when I am completed.

absolutely just have a red skirt! it's a great way to break out of black. color is exploding right now-you did a good job on the skirt too. you can always wear it with a black top xx
